Today the second of our large Raids lost a Disk and stopped working. The damned Servers are located in the only rooms with AirCondition. So why do they stop working? In the rest of the office the Temperature is already nearly 30°

Steermouse

I recently read about a mouse controller called Steermouse. This 3rd Party Controller, which installs itself in the preference pane of MacOS X allows a very smooth configuration of the mouse buttons and actions. I don’t know why I never found this software before. I always struggled with the Software provided by the mouse vendor (Logitech or Microsoft)

Kinderuni

Ich war heute Vormittag unterwegs um meinen Sohn bei der Kinderuni 2009 anzumelden. Die Anmeldung ist eigentlich ganz einfach.

  1. Kids registrieren Das geht natürlich online

  2. Zählkarte (irgendwie erinnert mich das an längst vergangene Zeiten) holen. 1h Wartezeit für zwei Nummern (pro Kind eine Nummer) und ein 30’ Fenster in welchem die Vorlesungen reserviert werden können. Mein Fenster war von 13:00 - 13:30

  3. Innerhalb des Zeitfensters entgültige Reservierung der Vorlesungen.

Irgendwie glaube ich das sich dieser Prozess noch streamlinen lässt.
